No. Hank does not use customer data to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. AI processing is performed only to deliver the service to the customer, including RFP analysis, opportunity scoring and proposal drafting, and uses information from the customer's own Knowledge Base to tailor results.
Our current subprocessors are listed in the Subprocessors section of this page. We assess vendors under our Vendor Management Policy, which requires security and confidentiality commitments in our agreements and periodic reviews. Questions about our vendors can be sent to [email protected].
Customer data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Encryption is enforced on our database platform, and traffic to the Hank web application is encrypted using TLS. Customer data is stored on infrastructure located in the United States. Our Encryption and Key Management Policy governs these controls.
Access is granted on a least-privilege basis under our Access Control and Termination Policy and a documented role-based access matrix, and it is removed when no longer needed. Multi-factor authentication is enforced on our core systems, including Google Workspace, our database platform and GitHub.
We retain customer data while an account is active or as needed to provide the service. After an account is terminated, data is retained for 30 days so the customer can export it, then permanently deleted. Customers can request immediate deletion at any time. Requests for access, correction, deletion or a portable copy of personal information can be sent to [email protected] and are answered within 30 days. Hank does not sell, rent or trade personal information.
We maintain a documented Security Incident Response Plan that includes a defined process for notifying affected parties, and we test it through tabletop exercises and record lessons learned. We log and monitor our cloud infrastructure and web application to detect and investigate issues. To report a security concern or suspected vulnerability, email [email protected].
We maintain a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan that is reviewed and acknowledged by our team annually and tested through tabletop exercises. We also test backup restoration at least annually to confirm backups can be recovered.
Hank maintains a library of written security policies, including information security, access control, change management, incident response, vendor management, data retention and disposal, and privacy. Each policy has an owner, is reviewed and updated, and is acknowledged by all personnel every year. Personnel complete security awareness training at hire and annually, and sign confidentiality agreements.
